Pedro: How do you know all this?
Stranger: Again, I cannot tell you at this time.
Pedro: When, then?
Stranger: Soon. But I must go. Your friends will be here soon.
Pedro: Where are you going?
Stranger: Fear not, we will meet again, soon.
The stranger slips quietly into dusk. A car is heard approaching.

Stranger: I know more about you and your family than you might think.
Pedro: Such as?…
Stranger: Such as… your search for that family heirloom.
Pedro (startled): How do you know about this?
Stranger: You’re not the only one looking for that rosary.

Pedro: Who are you working for?
Stranger: Can’t tell you that either.
Pedro: Then why should I help you?
Stranger: You have much to gain from this trip as well.
Pedro: How do you know?

Pedro: Yes, I have.

Stranger: Good. That’s good.
Pedro: Who are you? And why is this so important to you?
Stranger (hesitating): I cannot tell you. At this time. But soon.
Pedro: Why the secrecy?
Stranger: All will be explained in time.

A noise is heard behind the garbage bin at the end of the alleyway.
Pedro: Who’s there? Come out!
A form emerges from behind the bin.
Pedro: You?! Why are you still here?
Stranger: I need to know if you’ve made contact with Charlie.

Lights slowly dim up, while the roar of a motorcycle is heard approaching. Pedro arrives on the scene,
a dimly lit alleyway in town. As he enters, he glimpses a shadow ducking at the end of the alleyway. Pedro stops and kills the engine. He waits a few seconds, listening.

Pedro: Hum…No answer…
Charlie: Cell connections aren’t always reliable, especially all that way.
Stan: Ok. Well, I think there’s a reason we’ve all been getting this image sent to us. We need to go there.
Charlie: I’m ready. Let’s go.
Pedro: I have to stop by the campsite to pick up my stuff.
Stan: Ok. Let’s meet in the square to figure out the best route.
Pedro: Sounds good.
Pedro gets on his bike and roars away. Stan and Charlie go to the car. Stan loads Charlie’s bags into the trunk and then climbs in the driver’s seat while Charlie settles into the passenger seat. They look at each other.
Stan: Are you sure about this?
Charlie: No. All I know is that I want to find Falbala. I’m worried about her. Let’s go!
Stan starts the car. Lights out.

Pedro: That would be logical, wouldn’t it?
Stan: Too logical, perhaps. Nothing else has been so far, really…
Charlie: Well, there’s one way to find out. Call the number back.
Pedro dials the number. Phone rings.

Pedro: Hum… I don’t recognize the number…
Charlie: What is the number?
Pedro: 39 06 6792446
Stan: 39 is the international dialing code for Italy. As for 06…
Charlie: Could it be Rome?…

Charlie: That’s the sane picture Falbala sent me. How could she have your cell phone number?
Pedro: I don’t know.
Stan: Where is this picture coming from?
Pedro punches through the various message screens.
