Charlie: Did you find out what you wanted to?
Pat: I think so.
Charlie: Anything you’d care to share?
Pedro looks at Charlie.
Charlie: I’m trusting you know what you’re doing. But I have to say I’m starting to feel a little weird about all of this. We don’t seem to be making a lot of headway, here.
Charlie looks at him and nods her head.
Charlie: What’s up? Where’s Pat going?
Pedro: Just checking up something for us.
Pat: Awright, son.
He crosses to the table to put his mug down. He smiles at Charlie, who has been silently watching the two men. Crossing back to Pedro.
Pat: I need to speak with someone. Please, wait here.
He goes down the stairs to the bar, and disappears behind it. Pedro looks at Charlie.
Pat looks at Pedro, for a few moments, then sighs.
Pat: That’s a pretty big hunch, for that type of request…
Pedro: Yes, it is. So, what do you say, Pat? Can you help me out?
Pedro (looking at Charlie): I’m expecting the worse for her friend, and I know he’ll be able to help.
Pat: What makes you think he would want to?
Pedro: I’m not sure. A hunch…
Pedro: So I have heard. I also know that if anybody knows hows to reach him, it’s you…
Pat looks at Pedro for a few moments.
Pat: Why should I tell you where he is?
Pedro: I know. But the more I think about it, the more I’m sure he’ll know who’s behind all of this.
Pat: What makes you think that?
Pedro: Who else could I turn to, Pat, for this sort of lore? He is an expert with the Tree of Life.
Pat: Aye, that he is. He’s also an expert in reclusiveness. He hasn’t been seen in years, didn’t you know?
Pedro: I need to connect to the Elder.
Pat raises his eyebrows and whistles softly.
Pat: That’s quite the request.
Pat: What can I do you for, Pedro?
